I think the main reason I love BL is because of Isagi and how insane he is on the field. It's such a break from the Deku's and Hinata's of protagonists since he's always just so much of a psychopath when he's in his soccer head. I also find it funny that the show tries to remind you, "hey this is your morally right and kindhearted protagonist," when it's downtime and he's like, "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean the things I said!" But then he takes a complete 180 once he's got a moments glance at the ball as if he's switched anime genres like going from a Slice of life, beach episode, to the last arc of AoT.
