Hey there,
So this weekend, I've been collecting footage for the next video. As is incredibly obvious, especially if you've seen my steam playtime recently, the next video is a review on Far Cry 2. I couldn't resist, since I have a lot to talk about on the game and I already have competition with Pyro as his primary knock-off lmao.
I spent the last 2 days collecting footage for the review and managed to complete the game in far and a way a far quicker period of time than I was expecting. Naturally, this second playthrough within the span of a month has brought to light some other talking points I wish to bring forward, though my experience with the game is already extensive given I've been playing it since it came out and have completed it on the hardest difficulty more times than I can count. I have just about as much positive to say about the game as I do about the things that infuriate me to the point that my balls explode, so it's gonna be an interesting one. One thing I will say is that it's a product of its' time; as a 2008 game, it's emblematic of many game design choices of the time, insofar that it combines the cutting edge graphical technology of the time with the insistence on immersive, dark gritty storytelling and player/world interaction that games like Half-Life set the precident on about 10 years prior. I certainly miss this period of gaming, as now everything these days is nothing but flashy visuals with no substance or attention to detail with how the player interacts with the world or the AI. Oh well. At least we have these games around to remind us of how good we had it.
That's all I really have to say for now. This should be out much sooner than the Far Cry movie review, but I'm not gonna set a estimate for when I'm gonna release it since that's more pressure than I really need lmao. For now, I hope this thumbnail will be enough to sate your imaginations.
Thanks for reading, and I hope this next adventure of ours will sate your appetites.
