Closing in on Completion

Hey,

I just wanna preface this by saying thank you to all of my patrons thus far. It's real encouraging to see there's people out there who appreciate the bullshit I put up enough to be as kind as you are being. It really means a lot to me; from the bottom of my heart, thanks. Of course, your names will be immortalised in the end screen of the next video, which I have a little bit to update you on now:

As some of you might have guessed, the next video is going to be Far Cry related. Unfortunately, it's not a review on anything remotely good to do with the series, AKA Far Cry 1 & 2. No; unfortunately, the review is more Uwe Boll related than Far Cry related.

As of right now, estimated time for the video is roughly 35 minutes to 40 minutes. This will easily make it the longest review I've done thus far, and it certainly has come with a slightly different style of reviewing and with some slight modifications to the editing style, given the more linear and informative route I had to take to express why I fuckin hate that movie. But it is from a technical standpoint probably my best material thus far, and I so can't wait to be compared to Pyrocynical for like the 100,000th goddamn time.

The main reason it's taking so long to make is because not only do I have to look at why the movie is bad (which isn't hard; you just need to glance at it), but I also have to go super in-depth about how it compares in terms of story, tone, atmosphere and stylistic decisions as compared to the first game, because I've been playing Far Cry 1 for sixteen years and it's unironically my favourite game of all time. I'm like a Raid Dungeon Boss when it comes to defending that game, and Mr Boll unleashed my wrath. It pains me to see how most people just look at the movie, make a generic "mUh DeFiNiTiOn Of InSaNiTy" meme and call it a day, without relating what they just saw to the source material whatsoever. I aim to rectify this... divergence in common sense. By making a video on it and bullying everyone on the planet. Go me.

Anyway, that's all I really have to say thus far. Hopefully this'll be the last Patreon update before the video gets out, but you never know. I'd definitely give me a few more weeks to work on it though, maybe like 3 tops, but hopefully 2 if I can get my shit together and work on it after I come home from my 9 to 5. There are way too many fuckin numbers in this paragraph lmao.
