Update on Next Review + Editing Process

Hey,

I figured since I have this Patreon account and Patreon tells me that if I update this page at least twice a month, I'll retain more patrons. Which is convenient, because I want to talk more about the video-making process without spoiling absolutely everything to everyone within ear-range. So I'll settle for giving you paymasters of mine more bang for your buck, if ever you even got any of that in the first place.

So for one, if you can tell what I'm reviewing next, good job, because I sure don't at this point. This video's taking a long while to make because it's quite a significant change from what I normally review; that, and its like a ten times longer video. And given that I'm now working almost 50 hours a day and cutting editing time into wherever I can (weekends are a godsend), It's usually both a pain and a blessing to get to work on this video once I'm home.

Of course, I am still using Hitflim Express 2017, the very same software I've been using since my first video on the 13th of August, 2017. Fun fact: I actually tried upgrading to Hitfilm 2020 at one point, but I found myself jumping immediately back to Express 2017 because they put Dark Mode Display on the 2020 version behind a fucking £7 paywall. So while I'm sure 2020 is optimised better and doesn't crash as much, I can at least work with 2017 without burning my retinas out. I think that's the important thing here.

Anyway, if what I have in the editor looks quite short so far, don't worry; this is just a fraction of what there is. I have to divide each section into different save files due to the imported media folder becoming way too clogged up and the computer lagging after a while. We're easily at 20+ minutes so far, and it's only gonna get longer.

But yeah, as far as updates go, that's about it so far. I'll try to have this video out by the end of the month. Until then, thanks for reading and thank you very much for your patronage. I hope this next video exceeds your expectations. Have a great day!
