Occultus AMA
Added 2025-11-07 20:32:25 +0000 UTC(I will also be posting this to the Occultus Kickstarter shortly, so feel free to ask me questions there instead if you wish.)
First time doing an AMA! I figure the easiest way to do this is for you to ask me questions in the comments on this post and I will respond with a reply.
Please ask questions ONLY about about Occultus and/or my process related to it. Avialae questions are okay too, but I may not include them in the print version. Please don't ask questions about The Hunt or River St or any other projects I'm working on, I may do an AMA for those later but this AMA is specifically for Occultus.
If your question is a duplicate from another person's, I will either copy paste the previous answer or direct you to the other comment for the reply.
I will not be using anyones' names/handles in the print version to respect everyone's privacy and to simplify crediting questions across platforms.
I may not use every question in the print version of the books since we are limited by page space.
Okay, that's it! I will give replies over the course of the next few days since I'm still working on pages for this week. :)

Oh yeah lmao, it took me a second to remember what that was in reference to;; I'm glad it still makes you laugh. :) I almost never plan my commentary per page to be honest, lol. Very rarely I'll have a line from my script that I will use, but more often than not it's just an unhinged thought I have while working on a page.

2025-11-10 21:10:02 +0000 UTCI enjoyed drawing early Occultus more than Avialae because I was excited to write new characters, but obviously that changed as time went on. Also making the switch to 100% digital with Occultus was a boon, I was so sick of having ink stains on my nails. I really enjoyed writing Silas. He's stinky and horny and I like that in a character. :)

2025-11-10 21:05:54 +0000 UTCThis isn't a question but I need you to know that I think about your one comment "like eating out a piñata" from Volume 5 of Avialae at least once a week. It still makes me laugh and it's what made me decide to become a patron (that and wanting to read Occultus). This is a question: Did you have any commentary or funny lines you were especially excited to share when posting Avialae or Occultus? I imagine there are some that you sit on for a while after drafting your series the way you do
