Jewel sounds hilarious! Oh and Jarrett and I are actually watching suits right now! I keep meaning to bring it up when I watch because I keep seeing Zoe as Jessica. 🤣

2023-12-17 08:10:06 +0000 UTCI'm catching up, Kelsea. I know Jewel Staite (Kaylee) from The Killing, a show I've already suggested you may like after having watched Thirteen. Jewel is an ex-model, and she was told to gain 20 lb. (9kg) for her character Kaylee. Why, I have no idea! You will see she returns to her original weight in the movie finale, Serenity. BTW, River doesn't need an excuse for her weird behavior. She's special. Why do you think the entire Alliance is after her? Just keep an eye on our girl. I loved Summer Glau in the Terminator series, with Lena Headley, (Cersie GOT,) and Gina Torres (Zoe) was excellent in Suits, which of course starred Helena's boyfriend, Jesse the tow truck driver and Prince Harry's wife, Meagan Markle. Funny enough, my Dad's name is Malcolm. He's been known as Mal throughout his life. We even had a Prime Miniter named Malcolm. It's a fairly common (older) British name here in AU.. Damn, I'm trying to make these short. See ya next time. Okay, I couldn't help myself. Here's a quote from Jewel (Kaylee) after the completion of the series. "If it were up to me, how would the characters' relationships conclude in Serenity 2? Okay. Hypothetically speaking only, River and Zoe really hit it off, fall in love, and decide to form their own renegade girls-who-kick-ass space team and leave us in the dust; Mal realizes he's more destroyed over #*$*% (bleeped for spoiler alert) than he ever thought and spends the rest of his days wearing Hawaiian shirts and drinking booze out of the engine's fuel tank; Simon and Kaylee have a set of genius triplets and turn the ship into a cocker spaniel search-and-rescue shelter, with "crazy Grandpa Mal" still at the helm cradling toy dinosaurs; and Inara finally realizes the potential in Jayne as a male companion, loans him a toga, and takes him back to the training house where they become King and Companion Queen! You know you want that sequel!" So typical of Kaylee! 🤣

2023-12-02 21:07:06 +0000 UTCThis episode is my least favorite, but the crew is revealed a bit more, especially River. This was the first point in the story when we get to see River’s unique capabilities. This reaction was so intuitive. One thing Kelsea, Simon and River weren’t tethered, but parts of the space suits especially the boots have switched on/off magnetic hold down feature. You’ll see that agin in a future episode.
