Oh interesting! I wouldn't be surprised that they butcher stuff lol. Chinese is hard to pronounce! I mean it's just like native Chinese speakers trying to pronounce English. Goes both ways I'm sure!

2023-11-16 21:30:30 +0000 UTCThey never say it in the show, but I looked it up and the reason they speak Chinese some times is because it is the US-China Alliance, and I believe it is usually used to cover up vulgar language which is why you won't see any subtitles, and apparently they butcher the pronunciations.

2023-11-16 03:05:17 +0000 UTCOne thing about Firefly that I want you to know Kelsea - - - The show came to Fox under 'circumstances' and 'political things' happened in management who were excited to get in on 'cheaper' "reality show craze." at the time. SO Fox messed with the production and airing of the episodes only to cancel the show mid-season after only 12 episodes aired - 14 episodes produced (we will see all 14 with you). There was NO season finale... the show just... ended. The fans of the show were livid. (FF fans are called 'browncoats'). There was such an outcry Josh Weaton was able to pitch a movie - 'Serenity' got produced a couple years latter. To this day, Firefly has a loyal fanbase.
