2023-08-25 03:13:49 +0000 UTCWatching this again, and I remember reading Kathy Bates was so affected by her character (she and Rob Reiner did an entire background story for Annie Wilkes), that before doing a scene, she was crying, sometimes bawling her eyes out before a take. You can clearly see this, as in the scene when she found Paul on the floor, her nose and eyes were red from crying. Even her voice sounds like she’s been crying. And again, the scene when she told Paul to burn 🔥 his book. There’s a closeup of Annie’s face, with the red nose and eyes again.
