Agree, you know the show/pacing is good when it feels like a few minutes has passed when it's actually been an hour! Also some other signs (which I think you've picked up on as well) - quickly knowing all the characters names, and how they feel quite real and distinct. Almost like you've known them for a long time when it's only been a total of 6 hours shared among each of them. I don't know much about the rent situation but from what I understand having a "rent-controlled" apartment means the tenants have a contract allowing them to pay a pre-determined amount of rent for a fixed period of time. They don't "own" the apartment, but they have the right to live there until the contract term expires. The corrupt landlord is trying to make them leave, which would void the contract - then he can redevelop the apartments and make more money. To be fair to Foggy, he did say his Spanish was bad :P Matt doesn't just hear things - all his senses are insanely acute - I'm thinking he smelled the flares. Some of his acrobatics are definitely unbelievable - it's the tough thing when you've got a superhero show that's also going for that "realistic" kinda tone. Next two episodes are excellent, I think you'll get some information you've been seeking :)
