Full Reaction to Deadpool

You didn't put the links you mentioned (for explaining how you chose to watch "Deadpool" without the rest of the X-Men franchise) in the description or the comment section either here or on YouTube, nor in the description box for the YouTube edit, and there are over 1300 comments over there, so I gave up looking after the first couple hundred. I don't know how your fans justified it to you, but it seems a shame since both Deadpool movies are heavily laced with X-Men references. I know you enjoyed the movie, but believe it or not, you could have enjoyed it even more.

Mr. Sinister is not a Deadpool villain, he's an X-Men villain and while there are X-Men in this, Deadpool is not one of them and would absolutely not fight one of their bad guys. In reality, there aren't really any characters who pose an actual threat to Deadpool, as he is basically immortal, so they chose a villain who could match Deadpool in hand-to-hand, as to give good fight sequences, while also fueling the comedic plot

^ _ ^ Neither a fan of Deadpool nor Ryan Reynolds when he's being funny, and yet this movie still works for me. I will always remember it fondly as one hell of a Valentine's Day movie, that's for sure (my ex developed quite a girl crush on Gina Carano after this). I do still wish it could have had a stronger villain though. In fact I was in agreement with every comic book fan, Marvel movie fan, and even a number of gamer friends I know who wondered why the movie didn't introduce Mr. Sinister as the big bad. He's basically a rock opera vampire who runs a super-secret mad science organization known for doing very bad experiments on mutants, would have fit right into Deadpool's over-the-top universe. But oh well. We still got a mighty memorable movie out of it. All I can say about the sequel is buckle up, because things are about to get crazier.
