The part where you fell asleep but didn't realise it reminds of of something I did when I was a about 8. (Well, kinda the opposite of what you did) I had flu and was feeling really awful, just lying on the sofa during the day. I slept a bit and I woke up about 6pm but I thought I'd been asleep for hours and must be middle of the night but everyone was still up. I panicked thinking that something really bad must have happened for everyone to be up in the middle of the night so I started shrieking “what happened" and "what are you doing" etc and they thought I was delirious! All I needed was a clock and then I felt much calmer lol.
