2021-07-15 21:26:27 +0000 UTCI'm a little late to the party catching this. Just wanted to say that Alias is a god-tier pick for reactions because it has so many twists and turns. Almost every episode end and ad break is some sort of cliffhanger! You know how most of the action scenes on Buffy are only average at best, but it really doesn't matter because the characters and themes are so masterfully done? Alias is quite a different experience because it is quite heavily plot (rather than character) driven and, while the story may get complex and non-linear, its themes are fairly straightforward. Nonetheless, Alias' action scenes are always big screen worthy, some of the shows biggest fight scenes remain the best I've seen on television to this day. And, even though you scoffed a bit at the music in the parking garage scene (haha!), it's soundtrack by A-lister Michael Giacchino is also one of the best parts of the show. Something funny from the DVD commentary that stuck with me for years is that they originally planned to set up wires and pulleys for the shot where Sydney flips in her chair onto the torturer. But, in the end, Jennifer Garner's stunt double was literally able to do it holding onto the chair and doing a front flip. XD

Great cast, exciting and after Buffy I was glad of another show with a lead female character. I hope you keep on with this one.

PS As you might have noticed from just this one episode, Jennifer Garner may be the most versatile actor ever.
