2020-07-21 23:07:20 +0000 UTCIt's fun watching through this show again, cause I haven't seen it in years. But it struck me just how quick the episode strums along. Like, there's no down-time, they change location instantaneously, there aren't even any transitional scenes, really. This isn't a criticism or anything, it's just I wonder how things would have been if they hadn't been cancelled, or if they hadn't known they were cancelled. It's like in the previous episode with the Three Months Later jump. Love Supreme could have easily been a big two-part event The Return of Alpha, maybe even the season finale, but it gets condensed into one part that just shoots by because the writers have no time left. There's a quiet tragedy to all that. Still love this episode though. By the way, the guy that Alpha explodes is actually the same guy from the premiere, Ghost, who Echo motorbikes with. I don't know if you remember, but he was the first engagement that we ever saw. He also returned in Echoes, he was the guy Echo tied to the bed and then left because she saw the stuff going down on the campus. Just a little bit of continuity but I thought it was worth mentioning. Of course, he's all blow'd up now, so...
