It’s been awesome for a ton of episodes but this one again it drifted from center right to top right and cut off the top of the picture again for me.

The Council has information and knowledge, which is a type of power, but not the ability to use it effectively. Attitude and tradition can be used to make some people seem powerful while causing others to quiver and stammer and hesitate. As long as Giles believes they can have him deported, they have power over him. The more ignorant Willow, Tara, Xander and Anya feel, the less power they seem to have. Spike perks up when Buffy says he is the only one strong enough to protect Joyce and Dawn. The knights indicate they have power in numbers. Glory has physical power (and who knows what else). Buffy has a new sword for her weapons chest.

2019-12-13 05:41:52 +0000 UTCLines from this ep and esp that final scene ring in my head whenever I watch Helpless or the scene in Graduation Day when Buffy quits the Council. Like Quentin describing the Watchers Council as the evil fighters and the Slayer as their instrument, and then having the gall to refer to Glory as an instrument too, like?? Their justifications are bananas, and yet perfectly encapsulate what a real world institution like that would be like. Also every scooby is just the scoobiest version of themselves possible this episode and it's great.
