Angel - 1x11 "Somnambulist" FULL REACTION

Comments

Holy Crap, did any others from that show become stars?! I wonder if Renner still has the same agent?

Richard Lucas

First time watching this show always had a hard time getting into it, well it took about 9 episodes, but I think I'm really liking Angel now= time to binge

Amanda Logsdon

I don't know the first one, but the second one is The Avengers

Your comment about how the scene between Cordelia and Angel would have been Doyle and Angel before was more accurate than you might think. That scene was originally written for Doyle and Angel.

Coolest staking ever.

Okay Mega Nerds! Now is the time for Mega Nerd Trivia! 1. Name a well-known film with both Jeremy Renner and Kate. 2. Name a well-known film with both Jeremy Renner and Wesley. Use Google or IMDb if you have to, but if you can get it without help... then YOU win! Here's your prize: a giant bucket of imaginary fried chicken! Enjoy!

Kelly Clarkson reference on point. 😂 Lol. Another great reaction, especially your horror at the Return of the Atrocious "Irish" Accent and glee at unexpected Renner!

I always liked this episode. About a year or two before Angel started, there was a reality show called "The "It" Factor" - it followed a group of young actors around as they tried to jump start their career - it showed them meeting with their agents and going on auditions - one of those actors was Jeremy Renner. I remember when this episode of Angel came on I was like "Oh, that's Jeremy from The "It" Factor - I'm so happy he got an acting job!" LOL.

IMO, the thing with Cordelia isn't so much about her being portrayed as smart or stupid, but about her being self-involved. She's obviously a lot better now than she was in season 1 of Buffy, but that is still a big part of the core of her personality. When Angel asks for a stake, she thinks steak because that's more "her" than a stake is. The difference is that season 1 of Buffy Cordelia wouldn't have immediately realized "oh, that's not what he meant". So yeah, I don't think it's so much stupidity as that Cordelia's initial thought is about how something applies to her wants and needs, how it applies to her life.

From the (not to be looked at, because spoilers!) Buffy fandom wiki: " "You'd be locked up faster than Lady Hamilton's virtue." Lady Hamilton, wife of Sir William Hamilton, was born Emma Hart (1765-1815), a woman of great beauty and charm who rose from humble origins to international fame. Emma attracted the attention of Lord Horatio Nelson, with whom she had a notorious romantic liaison until his death at the Battle of Trafalgar. Although she inherited money from both Hamilton and Nelson, her extravagance led her into debt, and she died in poverty."

Your reaction to Jeremy Renner in this episode was worth the price of admission. Priceless. I've grown over the years to really like this episode. I would say the only thing that holds me back from loving this episode is the deliberate miss direct with Kate's description of the killer like I know what you're going for but Kate isn't that stupid and were in these murders did the killers relationship status her clued in? Anyway cant what for more ttfn.💜

Your Jeremy Renner realization moment was hilarious!
