I’m not caught up. But I must say I never questioned Charlie as Jax. Every emotional beat, from the more innocent, can’t pull the trigger Jax, to breaking my heart as he walked through the mall, following his son in the arms of two would-be parents, the emotion of watching him make that choice of letting him go… rise of a leader… to Jackson Corleone… and a broken man… on the floor in his wife’s blood. And how that thwarts him into the dark tragedy this show was building to all along, layer by layer. Choice by choice. He is Jax. Maybe because I have sensory condition and can’t always use sound/volume when I watch, that maybe the few that struggle with him was based on his voice. I don’t know. But the journey for me was almost perfectly layered and delivered. The Juice scene rips tears from my eyes. Incredible. But thats just me.

2022-05-29 20:36:59 +0000 UTCI don't think Hunnam is a shitty actor - Personally he didn't convince me most of the time. Which is true. Especially in the first few seasons. I saw other movies with him where he didn't convince me either. So I'm not a fan of his acting. However he does have his moments. In This episode he gives by far the best performance I have ever seen from him. I have also acknowledged his acting in the season 6 Finale. However... these are just moments for me in which he's great, I can't say I've loved his performance in the overall show. And since he's the main character I consider that a weakness of the show. But he did get significantly better and this is certainly his best.

Overall, the last couple seasons of the show are weak enough (relative to the rest of the run) that I might have a hard time recommending them if these last few episodes weren't as excellent as they are as a wrapup to this series. I'll be interested in how you feel after 7x12 and, especially, 7x13. Those folks who insist Charlie Hunnam is a shitty actor either haven't seen the work he's doing here at the conclusion or are off their fucking rockers.
