Is Bob a mythological possessing spirit or a psychological phenomena in Leland? Bob doesn't have a body so when Leland did the terrible things was Bob puppeting him or is that just a disassociation Leland makes to cope with being someone who has done terrible things? Maybe its a combination, like there is a spirit Bob that makes suggestions. When Leland does the bad thing, Bob suggests it wasn't Leland it was Bob, when in fact it really was just Leland being led astray by Bob. A think they are showing use both angles.
