Never a real moment together but she understands
You're an important man
Another day and I don't know if you're coming home, or when
She's alone again
But she goes on curating her domestic museum
She disappears in her loyalty
She is a dress wearing a face in the doorway, opening her arms out to you
Lovely episode, excellent performance by Yunjin Kim as Sun. She was also in K-Pop Demon Hunters, playing Rumi’s mentor who encouraged her to hide her patterns. She’s everything in this episode, communicating so much while still showing great restraint.
There is historically some real bad blood and inter-minority racism between African-Americans and Korean-Americans, which is what Michael is alluding to. It’s a storied, complex history but it’s not all in the past; Michael isn’t totally wrong to acknowledge it, and I like that whatever his attitudes are, he doesn’t want to pass on that jaded view to Walt. Major win for Michael in this episode; he’s definitely a grumpy guy but he always at least tries to do the right thing.
And again, great scenes with Locke. His interactions with Charlie are great, especially since Charlie is so resistant and we already know he considers Locke to be a total creep. Nice to see his opinions change, and as an addict, I know it was hard for him to hand over his heroin. I might’ve just ran through it, because at that point in addiction, you really don’t feel like you have power to make any choices relating to your substance use.
The beach/cave thing doesn’t grab me too much, since it’s pretty easily resolved: some people want to stay on the beach? Good, keep the fires going. Other people are be at the caves and if a plane turns up, we can all get rescued. Sounds good to me.

i love the amount of flashbacks we're getting, i need to know the backstory for all these characters.
crazy how Jin literally tried to kill Michael over a damn watch.. like dude chill
and as for staying at the beach or moving to the cave i can understand both sides but i would definitely be team cave.
excited for the next episodes! :)

Man i am just looking forward to you going through these seasons, the flight was a sydney to l.a flight for the people so Sun and Jin were most likely in a layover in Sydney from south korea en route to l.a

Sun's actress did such an amazing job in that airport scene - I was tearing up just watching her face. One of my clearest memories of her story was Jin coming home covered in blood, but I can't remember much beyond that to be honest.

Its crazy seeing all those early storylines and realize how they connect to the later seasons. Almost nothing in early character arcs is forgotten and is still impactful even in season 6. its crazy that this was possible to write in such a short time year after year and produce 25 episodes per season. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the production.

The flight was from Sydney, heading to Los Angeles :-) The scene where Sun (the Korean woman) plans her escape with her friend did mention that she was supposed to leave Jin (her husband) in Australia. Hope that helps :-)
