You’re gonna have to watch Firefly when you’re done with Angel :)

This episode and the last both gave such invasion of the body snatchers vibes

Jasmine telling the guy that Oswald worked alone, reminds of the joke where a conspiracy theorist goes to heaven and asks God who was the second gunman who shot JFK, God tells the man that he is wrong; Oswald worked alone, and the conspiracy theorist is stunned silent for a moment before replying “I was right, this goes all the way to the top”

Blood.
It's always--- about the blood...

Now that you know about Jasmine's blood, if you go back to the previous episode and carefully watch the sequence at the bowling alley:
A vampire attacks Jasmine, getting her blood on his hands,
Angel chases said vampire out of the building and out onto the streets,
The vampire touches a man with his hand, strongly enough that he mingled Jasmine's blood with the man's
That's why, when Jasmine walks outside, everyone else bows down to her, but the one man whom the vampire ran into sees her for what she is.
It all happens so fast, and plus you're not looking for it yet, so you're sure to miss it on the first watch. But it's kind of interesting to take note of the details when you rewatch it.

"Connor always a pain in the ass."
And also a pain in Lorne's heart.

One quick comment before we get back on the Angel train. Another reactor I'm watching just saw Amends for the first time, which is the episode way back in season 3 of Buffy when we initially encountered The First Evil (and which is also an Angel-center episode, anyway). And, of course, that made me think of how deep you are in season 7, where we've been battling the First all season long. Just thought that was worth mentioning.
And now, back to our irregular scheduled programming, featuring Jasmine and the Podmaniacs. Let us behold the further twists and turns this episode shall take.....

Addendum: She SAYS she was one of the Powers-That-Be. Maybe she was telling the truth, but maybe not. We don't exactly have a solid criteria for knowing who or what the PTB are, and it's easy for somebody to claim they have divine power and authority.

Love so much that Fred got her Champion arc finally. After nearly 2 seasons it seemed the writers weren’t sure what to do with her beyond some science and being the rope in Gunn and Wesley’s tug of war so having her be the one to figure out the Jasmine glamour is great. A plus of S4 that’s often overlooked.

you keep calling jasmine a demon but she's one of the Powers-that-be, as she explained in Shiny Happy People
