Daddy Winchester and Negan, too.

Her boyfriend is just an undead not a zombie which in this universe is an undead brainless slave.

There are "Previously on..."s for a bunch of these episodes, it looks like your copy just doesn't have them. Mine has them on almost every episode. I'm sure you can probably find them online if you're curious and want the refresher before each episode. Say whatever else you want to say about these demons, but you can't say they weren't upfront about what they wanted. This is why it's so important to have mutual translators to capture all the nuance! This whole arc (about wanting money) is part of the main series premise of "being a grown up". If "Buffy" as a series is about "growING up", "Angel" is about after it happens. And that includes having kids, getting a job, and needing money. Money is non-optional in this world. Rent, bills, food, entertainment, etc. And it's so very easy for that need for money to grind away everything else. Hence their big focus on The Mission as well. We're seeing the same thing in "Buffy" as well from a different perspective: Buffy is right now making this transition, so season six shows her money problems. "The Mission", as a term, has been featured many times before in the show. But before this it is usually associated with Gunn, not Angel. Gunn and his crew being on The Mission was what separated them from the other street gangs that were just criminals. It's also the reason he gave to his former crew as to why he was sticking with Angel instead of them. They lost The Mission, while Angel Investigations had it.

A fun episode that gets to play with the formula a little bit; a zombie stalker, demon puzzle trap or vampire gang would typically be a serious full episode plotline but here gets to be a fun zany subplot. I also really like the "They want to buy your head" being brushed off as a poor translation; it adds some more fun in a rewatch.

Yes, you recognized Jeffrey Dean Morgan from season 2 of Grey's Anatomy.

I gotta tell ya, these 9am (my time) drops are really working for me. Not the highest ranking episode on my own personal list but a fun one for sure.
