The ”evil hand” scene with Lindsay is one of my favourite scenes ever in a TV show and I quote it all the time it’s so good🙏🏻

I love Lindsay! He's one of my favorite characters in the Buffy-verse. Lindsay's "evil hand" actually is his own now since the person it came from died. It no longer has a "mind of its own" because the person who was speaking/acting through it is now gone. So Lindsay's in the clear as far as his hand. That "evil hand" scene is one of my favorites in the show/most memorable. And I love that Lindsay finally gave Lilah some credit and did his best to kinda set her up for success - for whatever that's worth at W&H - before leaving.

I don't see why W&H would necessarily want to kill Lindsey. We've known since last season that they think he has great potential and they have invested a great deal in him. So kind of like they don't want to kill Angel, but rather keep him around bc they believe he can be corrupted (as they tried to do with Darla and kinda succedeed bc we got Grey Angel out of that) and used for their evil agenda, I think the same could apply to Lindsey.

I, for one, am just glad we all made it through Beetlegate 2024 alive.

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

I really like this episode! Christian Kane has a lot of screen presence and always gives a really layered performance. Every time I watch this episode I get the song he's singing stuck in my head (Christian's voice is awesome and he's actually released a few albums). Choice is an important theme in Angel the series. I like that just like the last time they teamed up in season 1 (Blind Date), Lindsey tries to avoid making a difficult choice again. When confronted with the multilated bodies in the basement, he asks Angel 'what am I supposed to do here?' Angel tells him it's his choice. Lindsey finally chooses to do the right thing. Something he was unable/unwilling to do in season 1. We learn in season 1 that Lindsey grew up in poverty, presumably in a more rural area. W&H obviously preys on people like him for their staff (Lilah has also said she came from a small, poorer town). I love the detail that despite becoming a wealthy lawyer, Lindsey always kept his old truck.

would probably be a bad idea to look it up on youtube as most of the results will contain spoilers for the episode

Ryan Macdonald

For the last episode of Buffy, it's kind of important to know that it's not just the season 5 finale but also the 100th episode of the entire series.

Kevin Charley

Christian Kane was able to once again use his voice talents many years later, when he sang an amusing vocal duet with Jensen Ackles on a 2019 episode of "Supernatural" (unfortunately, Lorne wasn't around to offer a wry critique of their performance). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYOLDPOY4G8

Ambulance for the dude Lindsey shot in the foot in the boardroom. Not Charlie (Charlie!), but the security guard

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

The guy who stabbed himself in the eye wasn't a parolee or ex-con, he was somebody who RECEIVED an eye from somebody who was a parolee or ex-con. Just like Lindsey did. He stabbed himself in the eye because the guy whose eye it was was suffering, just like the guy whose hand Lindsey got. W&H chose ex-cons because they won't be missed, and because general corruption and government access gives them a lot of power. They paid off this parole officer to bring his parolees to this address, and they didn't need to do any muscle work because the parolees already have to do what he says. So there's no hassle of sending mercenaries to kidnap them in the night. "Brad" we know was embezzling from W&H which is probably why they picked him specifically, the others probably also tried to cheat W&H in some way. Looking forward, I have an FYI to give you for when you watch Buffy 5x22 "The Gift". There's a "Previously On" for that episode which is very important that you DO see. It's deliberately part of the episode itself, not just recap. But some versions of home media don't include it automatically (Or at all). Please check if your version includes the "Previously on" for that episode. If it doesn't, I recommend still watching it before the episode, even if just by looking it up on YouTube. The episode is still understandable without it, but it's very relevant.

Fun reaction! Angel being petty is a lot of fun. Regarding the parole officer and the parolees, I think its just that Wolfram&Hart's corruption gets them access to all sorts of people and they get people to make deals to benefit the company at the expense of the people that Wolfram&Hart can "throw away"
