Angel firing them actually helped them grow closer together, I kinda love it. The Cordy/Gunn, Cordy/Wes, Gunn/Wes relationship dynamics are strong this season.

2024-08-31 00:58:05 +0000 UTCWeird spaces are weird, I hope they un-weird for you. I like what this episode tries to do, but the "street talk" from the various wayward teens was just...bad. I think it's important to see Angel have to live with the consequences of his own actions in this episode. His guilt over what he did as Angelus has been a recurring theme from the very beginning, and last episode he finally admitted that part of his current depression stems from the fact that he doesn't think he can ever earn redemption for that. But now he has to deal with he fallout of what HE did. Angel, not Angelus. There's no "excuse" that he didn't have a soul. Like so many people do in the real world (And all of the lawyers at Wolfram & Hart, and Jackson, etc.) he just made bad decisions and hurt the people he cared about. No magic influencing him, no demons, just...him. He's got to deal with that.
