Super late - but looking for america was written / recorded / released in the days after 2 back-to-back mass shootings in America in 2019. Itβs a sad song but was a sentiment that many of us felt that day.

2024-08-09 09:36:50 +0000 UTCAbout unreleased songs - I would suggest listening to those that are 'complete' only like Because of You and Beautiful Player as opposed to short raw ones like 4th of July. I don't know if other people listen to the raw ones, I don't. So, they are disappointing moments in a reaction video in that way for me as a viewer, for instance, and maybe for you as you react to it? Also, the whole list might seem really daunting and I don't think every single title named in it is worth reacting to. I'd much rather enjoy a video of 'complete' songs. I feel like having 10 unreleased songs, for example (I don't remember how many you reacted to last time), in a reaction video is super exciting and I wouldn't want half of them to be raw snippets that are not 'listenable' on a regular basis. Plus, I would hate it if you found these unreleased reactions boring and feel more like a task than just enjoy them. I hope my comment doesn't come accross as idiotic or criticising :) I wanted to share my opinion. And sorry for it being long :)

That version of the song was amongst Lana's most famous unreleased songs and it blew up on TikTok around early - mid 2023. Lana saw how successful it was and was probably like yeah if y'all are gonna use my song let me get my money at least lol. So yeah she released it in the summer of 2023, about a decade since it was originally recorded and this version is way more subtle than the og one (the og one having heavier and more prominent electtic guitar and drums which imo was a perfect fit for UV).
