exactly this. In the books it is established he is the hunter from Snow White, but considering he also has to "save" Ceriese from a wolf at some point in the show it is safe to assume he is the hunter in both

I do believe it is mentioned in Dragon Games though Answer 2. so she's not really "talking to god" even though it comes across that way. The narrators are also people (spoiler: the narrators for this story have a daughter named Brooke), but they exist in a different (interconnected) realm just as the MH characters do Answer 3. yes others have questioned it. In the books Grimm sends Apple and Raven on a wild goose chase and is shocked when they don't fall for it
