Before I start, I'm letting you all now I'm still undecided as to whether i'll stick with Per Month or go to Per Illustration. I've made some mistakes with this Patreon, most of all is being unclear about my own intent behind it. What I wanted with my Patreon Illustrations was to give me an avenue for drawing things that aren't OC Commissions or my projects, because I definitely do not have the time to spend drawing high-detail works for nothing when I could be doing commission work. With Patreon I was hoping fans and followers who either do not have OCs or cannot afford commissions normally would have a way of getting something they want anyways. ... Unfortunately in that respect this Patreon has been a complete failure. The very first produced illustration was just barely D&D fanart, but both the 2nd finished piece, the currently in progress one and the two that got slated to be done this month ended up being Original Characters, and possibly the wins were caused by "rigging" with patrons pledging and only voting for that one option. This is the exact opposite of what I want to be doing in Patreon, and after debating it with myself for almost this entire month I've decided to completely ban OCs from FQIs. Not only that, I'm also going to be disqualifying the April votes completely to clean the slate. I'll be finishing the current WIP illustration tomorrow and setting up a vote for 1 April illustration to be done before May using the new rules. I fully expect to lose a fair amount of patrons over this and believe me, I understand. This has been handled shoddily. But in the end I decided that instead of constantly trying to run behind my own mistakes and cleaning them up, it's better I deal with what's wrong now and start fresh. Thank you for reading this, and I'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter, if you have any.
