Luckily moments later your salvation arrives, at least you hope so. Phoenix figures out that her friend who was working on the shrink ray must have shrunk and she tries to find you. Looking all over for you but doesn't realize how small you really are. Even when she looks on the sofa, and nearly crushes you multiple times, she can't see your tiny body or hear your tiny voice.
