2026-01-25 22:38:59 +0000 UTCI don't think this is spoiler but more of a clearing up of a bad communication of the show connecting dots as well as they meant too. So the part of the show that wasn't communicated well is when Lucy and Maximus arrive at Shady Sands and the bread crumbs of understanding are missing because the subtext is too subtle, lol. I also had the same assumptions about vault 33 and her dad lying about the surface. This is the breakdown of the evidence at this moment that makes things clearer. The way Maximus says he survived the bombs falling is just a bad line, lol, cause it made me think he is referring to the bombs 200yrs ago but somehow he remembers it and isn't 200yrs old and my mind went spinning, lol. We know the bombs fell 200yrs ago. But Maximus has memories of a bomb blowing up Shady Sands because he just said 'he survived the explosion that caused that crater', then we get a flash of toddler Maximus coming out of fridge as the dust settles around a destroyed town. This is the part they don't make clear because my mind was swirling over 'has it really been 200yrs or is it less and vault 33 lied to the dwellers' and so forth, lol. No, Shady Sands was built after the war, like they just said, by the NCR and it blew it up when Maximus was a kid, somehow. They just didn't connect those dots very well at all here, lol. It messed with my whole understanding of the time line and stuff, lol. No, they didn't built next to a crater, lol, the crater showed up after the town was built and Maximus survived it. Those are the bread crumbs they are planting for this piece of the story but did a poor job of it, lol.
