Added 2021-03-07 18:41:40 +0000 UTCHI GUYS HERE IT IS, STAR WARS EPISODE II THE ATTACK OF THE CLONES
Ok so no one warned me that jar jar would also make an appearance in this one.... and become a SENATOR WHO KEEPS APPOINTING HIM HIGHER TITLES Im expecting him to become president of the universe in the next episode at this point
OKAY ENOUGH COMPLAINING, many people were trying to warn me about episode ll but I surprisingly liked it! It was a bit slower and not as action packed as the other Star Wars films but I felt that it built Anakin's character, his relationship with Obi Wan and Padme very well. It seemed to be more of a character building movie so I liked seeing character growth being implemented!
I hear episode lll is really good so I cant wait to watch it!!
Hope you guys stick around to watch it with me and I hope you guys enjoy this video!!
LEMME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK IN THE COMMENTS AND HIT ME WITH THOSE FUN FACTS PLEASE ❤

I'm actually going to go against the grain here and stick up for this movie. Yes, its confusing. Yes, the action takes a while to pick up. Yes, some of the scenes and dialogue are corny and over dramatic, especially in the first half, but it is Star Wars after all. I think some context might help you appreciate Episode 2 a bit more. About Anakin, he was too old to begin his training. Jedi are forbidden from things like attachment, lust and possession, or should at least know better than to cave in to them, which is why they're supposed to begin very young so they can be indoctrinated essentially. Well its hard to tell that to a former slave who grew up with nothing and was essentially ripped from his mother. By the time he became a Jedi he already knew what it meant to care for people and to lust for things. You could say Anakin was more "human" than the rest of the Jedi. Besides the obvious problems that would arise from an emotionally confused teenager with immeasurable power being touted as the "chosen one", he's also being groomed and manipulated by Palpatine who is feeding his ego even more His emotions and personal feelings which conflicted with his responsibilities as a Jedi are what would ultimately send him down the dark path. His anger, arrogance, love, passion and at least in this movie, his immaturity, are therefore the most important aspects of his character. Considering he had to catch up on ten years of character development in one movie, it was important for Lucas to emphasize each of those traits convincingly and early so we could move on to the rest of the plot. Thats why the first hour is basically just moody Anakin, which I know can be a little overbearing haha. The thing about Anakin and Padme's relationship is they were both sheltered for their entire lives, Anakin with the Jedi and Padme with the politics. For both it was their first relationship and on top of that it was a forbidden love so that explains a lot of the reluctance and awkwardness. I dont think George Lucas made all those scenes uncomfortable unintentionally. Then when you consider that they're both young, obsessive and strong willed individuals, its a recipe for a very unhealthy relationship. Now since you asked for some fun facts, if you go back and watch the scene where Obi-Wan slices off the bounty hunters arm in the night club, a man with white hair and a blue shirt turns around to look (around 23:48 in). That is Anthony Daniels, who played and voiced C-3P0 in all eleven Star Wars movies from 1977 to 2019. Now on to Episode III, the magnum opus of the prequels!

2021-03-12 01:29:21 +0000 UTCThankyou, I stand corrected. Found this page that includes a video embed showing the inception of the purple lightsaber idea. https://www.gamesradar.com/au/star-wars-mace-windu-purple-lightsaber-samuel-l-jackson/

2021-03-12 00:08:48 +0000 UTCI second the recommendation that you check out Clone Wars, especially if you're really interested in the clones. It takes place between episodes II and III, and examine them in a way that the movie mostly jumps quickly over. It is a bit of a stretch, though, and it takes a couple of seasons before it *really* hits its stride, but then it is really worth it. However, it is not entirely void of Jar-Jar. 😊

2021-03-12 00:07:21 +0000 UTCI don't think it was a *requirement*. Just something he wished very much. George thought about it for a day or so, before he decided that yes, he could have his purple lightsaber. A purple lightsaber with BMF on the side, though we never get to see that. If you need to ask what BMF stands for, just remember that this is Samuel L. Jackson we're talking about here. https://youtu.be/ubyo5eZz_Jc As for Sir Christopher Lee's history, I think the biggest badassery comes from Lord of the Rings, not Star Wars. When he finally meets his demise by being stabbed in the back, Peter Jackson asked him to give a blood-curdling scream. He could tell: "That's not what being stabbed in the back sounds like. Believe me, I know."

2021-03-11 23:54:47 +0000 UTCThe little Padawan that answers Master Yoda's question is Zett Jukassa, played by Jett Lucas, son of George Lucas.

2021-03-11 19:21:08 +0000 UTCIt would be great if you are able to react to certain episodes of the Clone Wars to get an even better understanding of the characters.

2021-03-11 06:42:36 +0000 UTCSo, you mentioned Mace Windu’s purple lightsaber. That was one of Samuel L. Jackson’s requirements, that he has a purple lightsaber. I’m not sure, but I heard he also required that he be the only Jedi with purple, too. Edit: ok, so I was repeating an oft repeated story I’ve heard, but Yngvar is right, it wasn’t a requirement, it was simply SLJ’s request. I’ve just found a reddit page that actually has the exact moment, according to the article, that the purple lightsaber was first proposed. SLJ was clearly invested, already filming and in costume. At least it was SLJ’s request. I also recommend you look into Sir Christopher Lee’s (Count Dooku) history when you get a chance, he wasn’t always an actor, and it’s fascinating! From airforce intelligence officer (spy) opera singer, death metal, horror film icon, he truely lived his life

2021-03-08 12:01:09 +0000 UTCRemember that Anakin is still a teenager with all the emotional insecurities, immature arrogance and impulsiveness that comes with being that young. Wrap that within a power as strong as his and that is a dangerous combination. Also, the movie didn't do a very good job of portraying the passage of time but they weren't on Naboo for a day or two but rather weeks. Still a very fast romance but not as fast as the movie makes it seem.

2021-03-08 06:22:06 +0000 UTCYes no matter the filmmaking debate, the lore of the prequel era is fantastic and mixes well with the series.

2021-03-08 03:52:28 +0000 UTCI think opinions about this movie have greaty changed since 2002 since this movie came out. I believe reason is because the TV show The Clones Wars. Where you get a better Anakin and how he truly did loved Obi Wan Kenobi as a father and Padme as his wife.

2021-03-08 03:15:28 +0000 UTCPrepare yourself for Episode III it's the darkest and easily one of the most emotional of the saga.
