Sorry it took so long. End of semester so :) I don't want to bore you.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the reaction/my thoughts on it. I have a surprise movie for everyone before Star Wars this week so be on the lookout for that too. It's a christmas movie and at the same time, it's not ;)
Note: This is available for EVERY tier on my list since I can't post the Ghiblis on Youtube :). Also, Whole screen is blurred out for this reaction because of Ghibli. I do not want them to come after me again so I'm just being safe so syncing is going to be a littttttle tougher but I hope it's not too much ❤

Its a bit like with Disney. I love the Animation Studios so much but at the same time i hate the Company's Leaders... ;-) I also love Arrietty very much and i was always hoping so much that they would make another movie about the Borrowers! I cant wait until you'll watch the Takahata movies like "Pom Poko" or "only Yesterday"! :-)

2020-12-07 20:29:16 +0000 UTCThe book was just simple English whimsical-fantasy (but then, ahem, so was Howl's Moving Castle...), and Arietty in the book was just a regular stubborn little girl who was too curious about the outside world to be scared of big things--This being Ghibli, however, she's been turned into a grim little determined mini-Nausicaa, and a "tragic, bittersweet ending" with the boy.

2020-12-06 15:25:38 +0000 UTCEnglish dub is actually fairly appropriate for this one since it's based on an English book. I read The Borrowers when I very little, but I don't remember much about it. I think it was a bit more lighthearted than the film.
