Dark Magic - Meet the characters!

It's that time again! We're meeting the character of my brand new, long-running comic: Dark Magic.
Let's get right into it
In the middle: Jake, our protagonist. He is a nerdy, young guy who has just gotten hired at a big company in town. The comic starts on his first day. What could possibly go wrong?
On the right: Mike, Jake's senior coworker at the company and new friend. He's an older fellow, and not the brightest in the room, let's leave it at that. Who is this guy? Is he friend? Is he foe? We'll see.
On the left: ... Who is she? She seems... uh... shy? What do you think?
As a reminder, this is a slowburn, tg/tf/corruption comic. Any theories on what's going to happen?
