Update on UNP Bodies
Added 2020-01-02 01:53:14 +0000 UTCAlright, so I've tried using the new BHUNP body. While it works nicely on the player character, it just bugs out on NPCs. So I'm going to scrap that whole idea and stick with the standard UUNP.
In the meantime, I'm trying to restore my game back to the way it was. Unstalling the the new BHUNP has completely broken my physics and I've been trying to fix it for the last 3 hours with no progress, so it's going to take me a while figure that out, so there may be some delays if I end up having to redo a lot of stuff. My setup is really huge and complicated. But hopefully I can figure it out.
The good news is you wont have to worry installing any extra stuff for future followers. The SMP physics looked really great on my character. A lot more realistic which is what sold me on it. But as far as NPCs/followers go, it's not worth it. The mod itself even recommends only using it for the player character. I assumed having a few followers using it would be fine, but it doesn't seem that way.
Anyway, if/when i fix my game, I'll let you know through an edit on this post.
EDIT:
Alrighty, it's been fixed. I had to uninstall and reinstall a mod called "Naturalistic HDT and Beast HDT". For those curious, the issues with SMP on the follower I was experiencing were strange. The first issue is hard to explain. It's like the NPC had 4 breasts where the "second pair" was inside the regular pair and moving/jiggling differently from each other. This only happened when they were wearing clothes, while nude, there was no issue. When my character wore the clothing, there was no issue, the physics woked fine and looked great.
So I thought, okay, the nude bodies of my followers can be the new BHUNP and the clothing can be based on the old UUNP. But that just caused the physics to break on the clothing completely. The body still worked, but the clothing was completely stiff. At this point, the physics stopped working even on my character.
Removing all the BHUNP stuff made everything stiff and jiggle some times. All the clothing physics broke too. But uninstalling and reinstalling the one mod seems to have fixed everything. Maybe one day I'll check out the new UNP body, but for now, it's too much of a hassle to figure out. I've spent two days on it so far. But maybe in the future I'll look into using the HDT-PE version.
