Restructuring Patreon campaign?

Hi everyone,

Thank you for supporting my comics all throughout 2015. You are an amazing bunch!

There's been some life happenings lately that may affect the Patreon campaign, and I'd value any input you may have about it.

You may have noticed the AMA's have become sparse instead of a weekly event, and I've had to miss a couple of comic updates lately. Long story short, I've been trying to better support myself income-wise by taking more commission work, and recently, attempting to find a full-time job again. This ate into my comic-drawing time, which I felt really bad about, since I could not uphold the comic update schedule that was promised in this Patreon campaign.

So this brings up a decision point: I think I'll need to reduce the update schedule of the comics. Nine to Nine will likely need to fall back to every other week. Swords and Sausages may need three weeks, at least for the next update or two, while I juggle everything going on.

Now, I'm wondering if I should switch the Patreon campaign from "monthly" to a "per number of creation(s)" basis to keep things fair for you. That means, instead of contributing $x dollars per month to my campaign, you'll only contribute $x dollars every time I complete say, a set of 2 S&S pages + 2 9t9 strips, with no time limit enforced. So if I happen to miss that goal this month, you won't be charged.

How does that sound? In favor of the new system (which will relieve the time pressure on me)? Or do you prefer to keep supporting me monthly (which I'm still super thankful about)? Please let me know! I want to make sure the Patreon campaign is worthwhile to *you* to support.

I'm pretty flexible, Jan. Do what you need to do (just don't send Wolf to my house) ;-)

I prefer the simplicity and predictability of the monthly pledging, but if you are more comfortable with a “per number of creations” setup, that is OK too.
