2025-09-07 03:58:53 +0000 UTCIm so happy you guys loved this movie. I hadn't seen the theatrical in a while but this is still an A+++ version. I like one scene in the DC that's cut from this version because it truly sets up that Stanzi knows what kind of person Salieri is and explains why she's so pissed to see him in her house. She basically says she'll do anything to get the tutoring job for Mozart, Salieri tells her to come back later that night. I think he intended to sleep with her but seeing her so willingly get undressed to do this for her husband changed his mind. The way he dismisses her not only embarrassed her but made her feel like she was the filthy one in that moment. I could tell you were into the film because of how focused you were on it. And it will be a tough edit for YouTube but it was great to watch along with you. The outro discussion was great. And that you were looking up any info on Mozart on camera just shows how curious the film made you. The performances in this are top notch tho. F Murray Abraham definitely earned that Best Actor Oscar. Too bad Tom Hulce couldn't have won for Best Supporting Actor, instead of being in the Best Actor category with Abraham. Still of the 11 nominations it received, it only lost in 3 categories - Hulce (which would've been impossible), Best Cinematography and Best Film Editing. Again, thanks for putting it on a poll and thanks to all who voted for it. ๐
