Oh yeah, I’ve heard that the compound where the Twins take out the Espinosa’s is the same spot where Gus makes that first deal with Walt (where he misses the birth of Holly and has to “steal” the Blue from Jesse’s apartment). Oh and the guy who Jimmy hires to steal the Bavarian Boy is Ira, the future owner of Vamanos Pest in Breaking Bad. That’s why Saul & him have a good relationship.

Lol don’t overthink it, guys. You got it. And to remind you (and anyone else), Hector murdered Gus’ partner. Gus has been planing revenge for decades. Anyone who could potentially ruin those plans will be punished, ie Mike & Nacho.

I would definitely save any "pairing these episodes" things until a rewatch. Don't want to give anything away.

You outlined the reason Gus was mad very well - he wants total control, and he told Mike not to harm Hector. He wanted Hector alive and well. However, he then figured out Mike knew Nacho was swapping his meds out, which could have easily killed him. You nailed it.

- Currently we are in April 2003
- Walter visits the Superlab for the first time April 2009
- Sadly the Superlab was only functional for 4 months. Walt and Jesse destroy it in July 2009

There is a scene with Gus and his doctor discussing Hector's condition where the doctor says "Isn't this what he deserves" and Gus replies "I decide what he deserves, no one else".

I think this is all spot on. Gus is definitely obsessed with being the one that takes out Hector. I think the Schmitts had it all right.
Recall that it was Hector that fired the shot that killed Gus' partner.
Gus feels that Mike should have informed him when Nacho tried to get the pills to take Hector out.

It went by kind of fast but when the judge told the story about the brain dead pregnant lady, Kim replied "This is the plot of The Verdict", which is a great courtroom drama with Paul Newman, one of his best IMO. You guys should watch it.

Regarding a comment during the reaction, the Verdict is indeed a great movie. It has Paul Newman, so I'm sure people have been recommending it after Butch and Sundance, and the Sting.

I would say you're pretty much right on track regarding Nacho / Gus / Mike. Gus hates the Salamanas, Nacho works for the Salamancas, and Gus doesn't understand Nacho's motivation for trying to take Hector out. As far as he knows it's a power play, so Nacho is still to be treated like a dog. With Mike, as of this point he has been more an independent contractor. He's paid to do a job and he does it well. Because he's not permanently in anyone's employement, there is no need for him to spill his guts about everything he knows. I would assume Gus probably respects this.
