2022-10-25 14:35:18 +0000 UTCIt wasn't a bad horror movie but remakes are a bit cringe by nature, I don't consider it part of the Evil Dead universe. I wish they cut 20% of the script and just made their own thing that was kind of an homage. It could have been a great "Twenty-somethings in a cabin summon demons by accident" horror movie on it's own. Gender switch is cringe, chainsaw spoiler is cringe. The gore is absolutely horrifying though. It's a good movie but it's not Evil Dead. Like if Next Karate Kid had buckets of blood and guts and no Miyagi.

"Rambo" is wonderful, but if you'd timed it a bit differently, you could have had "Rambo: Last Blood" for Halloween, because if it's not a horror movie, I've never seen one! But it's worth the wait, and I'm not complaining. I hope you both wear neck braces while watching "The Usual Suspects," because that movie will definitely turn your heads around! This'll be fun!

While the Kevin Spacey recommendations are coming in, I really hope you'll consider adding The Ref (1994) to your schedule in December. It's up there with my favourite Christmas films and I watch it every year. It's a great dark comedy that I think you'd love!

He is still fighting for something in this movie but he displays violence and skills we've never seen before. Is it as good as First Blood it gave me the same feeling of First Blood, I would say this is definitely the best sequel hands down.
