Comparing Trigun Stampede & Stargaze to the original manga/anime when it sets out to be different retelling didn’t do the former justice. Thank you for that!

JoJo's Steel Ball Run is based on an old Burt Reynolds Comedy Movie that had Dom DeLuise, Jackie Chan, Roger Moore (he played James Bond), Farrah Fawcett (A serious Babe), Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin. That movie in turn was based on an actual illegal car race from the East Coast to the West that was run five times in the 70's.
