I didn't even realize until two months later, but this video went up on my birthday.

Is it me or the map of the 1st game world looks a little bit like Tamriel from TES?

This is going to sound crazy, but after watching this video multiple times, I almost feel bad making fun of this guy.
I mean, Uwe Boll makes crap because of a tax loophole. The Asylum does it because if they're cheap ENOUGH, a few people buying by mistake (or for the irony) still turns a profit. Lots of legendarily bad things come from amateurs who don't know any better, or nepo babies who have nothing to lose. Happy Science is doing propaganda, other bad video game adaptations are commercials to sell gatcha games or whatever, and Studio GoHands is divine punishment for our sins.
But this is the odd case of art where I genuinely don't see any ulterior motive. Yoshiteru Sato doesn't seem to be independently wealthy, his work has consistently lost money, and it's not propping up some other interest. I cannot help but see real creative ambitions here - that idea of a single fantasy world unified across many different stories and media is the stuff that inspired Brandon Sanderson (and Geoff's beloved Will Wight) to revolutionize the genre. Even the EVA ripoffs have genuinely cool concepts... I think. It's hard to be sure, because every one of these ideas is executed with an almost superhuman clumsiness.
And this is where I joke about how inspiring it is for somebody to fail that hard and keep trying, but really, it would be inspiring if someone started like that and then made actual progress towards being able to realize their artistic vision. That... did not happen. And though the results are certainly funny, that's also a little sad, you know?

His worst movies actually have a lower IMDB rating than anything Boll has made

Best part of this video: it made me look up Barber of Seville Overture, and finally realizing where some music I've heard a million times before originated from xD
