Blow Out is better than Scarface, and I wish you guys were watching that one instead, but I appreciate the comment!

Burt_Fuggin_Reynolds

In addition to being one of JCVD's best films, Bloodsport has a great soundtrack.

Mitchell Smilie

Steven Seagal is a legit martial artist

Ken Veader

Lol @ Bloodsport. A movie I dug with my cousins when we were teenagers. Cheesy, memorable scenes.

Rudy Hernandez

In my country, they changed the name of "Lionheart" To "Wrong Bet". I really don't know why they do that except maybe to appeal to a different audience at the time. For example: "Airplane" was renamed "Flying High" and "Shoot To Kill" was renamed "Deadly Pursuit"

Guston Zimasheen

On a side note - Frank Dux, who the movie is supposed to be based on, was a complete martial arts fraud - almost as big as Steven Segal. Van Damme was legit

Smooticus

Primal Fear is terrific and Bloodsport is cheesy great fun. I think I saw it three times in the theaters and my roommate on Okinawa had a VHS copy and it got played so many times we actually wore out the tape

Smooticus

Primal Fear is great.

Mike the Ginger

Bloodspooooort! ❤️

Alan Kingsley

"Body Double" (1984) and "Dressed to Kill" (1980) also deserve to be mentioned!!! I'm surprised he hasn't shown her Scarface yet...

Joe Lazarus

Yes! I was gonna recommend Blow Out! Probably John Travoltas best movie

Ken Veader

If you watch "Blow Out" (1981), you should consider watching "Blow-Up" (1966), the film that inspired it, too.

Thomas Yanez

Bloodsport! Also, ow, my groin.

Thomas Yanez

“You break my record, now I break you. Like I break your friend”

Walter White

My favourite film of both Travolta and De Palma!

Future Boy

It would definitely be in your best interest (since you just watched The Untouchables) to check out Brian De Palma’s 1981 thriller ‘Blow Out.’ It is a truly terrific, exciting, surprising film, and I’m willing to bet you (and many viewers) have not heard of it. It has the hallmarks of a great De Palma movie: incredibly conceived and executed shots, insane tension and suspense, and a touch of the macabre. It also features John Travolta’s best dramatic performance and a memorable Pino Donnagio score. Sure, it may not rake in the views like some other popular titles would, but I feel like it would be a truly rewarding watch.

Jarrod Hornbeck

Yes!!! I vote also for Amercian History X

Florian Meier

Another Great Richard Gere Movies are "Red Corner" from 1997 ans "Pretty Woman" from 1990 ... Already in your List is "A Officer and a Gentleman" from 1982 which is Great !!!

Florian Meier

Bloodsport!!!!! Lionheart, kickboxer, nowhere to run, timecop and universal soldier are also great Van damme films

Walter White

KUMITE! KUMITE! JCVD is life. 😎

Nonimal

Great recommendations! Sudden Death is Van Damme's Die Hard, Timecop is Van Damme's Minority Report, and Hard Target is one of my favourite action films of all time. And they're all underrated. I'm also a part of the Mia Sara fan club!

Future Boy

What. A. Week. And it's so exciting to see Van Damme make his debut on the channel! I hope you go on a Van Damme run, because it will be non-stop fun if you do. By far my favourite martial artist in films. My personal favourite is Hard Target (1993). It's crazy, over the top, silly, and spectacular, and as much fun as I've ever had watching anything. Daniel would want to marry this film!

Future Boy

Yeah Kickboxer is great.

PIG

After Primal Fear I heavily suggest reacting to American History X (starring Edward Norton).

PIG

Primal Fear is Excellent!! One of My Favorite Thriller of all Time !!! Love Edward Norton in This !!! Bloodsport is my Favorite Van Damme Movie !!

Florian Meier

So looking forward to Primal Fear! Edward Norton's debut and IMO his best performance ever. Can't wait to see what you guys thought of it

Renee S

I agree Kickboxer then maybe Cyborg and Double Impact, Lionheart, Universal Soldier and Hard Target

Demos Samolis

Yup, I had the biggest crush on Mia Sara lol

Jonathan Patrick

Bloodsport is respectable. But we NEED Kickboxer. "You mean like DIIIIIS?"

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Ferris Bueller's girlfriend is Jean Claude Van Damme's gf/wife in Time Cop. Great movie.

Alex

Now i show you some trick or two

Demos Samolis

Primal Fear is my favorite film set in--and filmed in--Chicago. Hope you guys enjoyed it...

Scott Greene

"Very good, but brick not hit back"

Duncan

"Kum-ite! Kum-ite! Kum-ite!" 😂 Love it!

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Interesting. PRIMAL FEAR is an interesting choice. I love that flick.

Philip Davetas

Bloodsport???!! Really?????🤣🤣🤣👍

Jim Tatro

You guys need to react to all of Johnnys favourites from the 80’s😊

Mark M

Oh MY God i am assuming here this will be your first actual Van Damme movie?? Bloodsport to Van Damme is like Commando to Arnold and Rambo/Rocky to Stallone so its is 80s fun and cheese but its soo good. If you guys do like the action and fighting styles of him then your going to start a Van Damme movie watch like the others!!! So damn excited for this!!!

Demos Samolis

If you love action, you can't go too wrong with early Van Damme films. That was like my weekends at the cinema back in the 80s/90s. Going to see all these action films...good, bad, ugly, indifferent. We had so much to choose from. Is so great to revisit some of them with you guys.

Guston Zimasheen

Van Damme was my idol growing up (other than Michael Jackson), everyone in school called me Van Damme lol, I learned his moves and the split too. I was always there opening day of his films. Had a whole scrapbook of articles you name it. Lol.

Jonathan Patrick

Awesome!! Can't wait to hear what you think of Primal Fear! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

YES!! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha yay! Love to see the excitement! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Recommendation directly from Johnny Lawrence! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thanks for the recommendations, Jonathan! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I haven't seen Bloodsport since I was a wee little kid so I remember very little, and I've never seen Primal Fear. Sounds like a good week for me!

Jeffrey Miller

BLOODSPORT YESSS!!! {VanDamme crazy eyes}

Mike Ramirez

Can't wait to do Primal Fear with you guys. Holy crap I love that movie. My favorite Richard Gere film by far. Last shot of that movie had balls.

Jason Dolan

Holy shit!! Primal Fear and Bloodsport What a fucking week The Schmitts just slaying it week on week 🏆

Duncan

Bloodsport? Was this one of the films they saw at the Drive In in Cobra Kai? Lol

Mike LL

Bloodsport Nuff said ----------- Other great Van Damme films Kickboxer Death Warrant Lionheart Universal Soldier Nowhere To Run Hard Target Timecop Sudden Death
