Someone probably mentioned this... but did you guys catch that "Pai Mei" and "the guy with the kato mask" are the same actor... as well as "Esteban" and "The sheriff from Vol. 1" are also the same actor....

Fun fact, the suit Elle was wearing during the fight in Bud's trailer was the same suit Uma Thurman wore in Pulp Fiction on her date with Vincent Vega and the same one Jackie wore in the mall scene in Jackie Brown

And the actor who played Pei Mei is also the leader of the Crazy 88s in Pt1.

I love that film too, but you might want to delete or edit your post and hope they haven't seen it yet, because even mentioning it in this context is a massive spoiler.

Speaking of buried alive, "The Vanishing" (1993) is a very underrated film. One of Sandra Bullock's earliest appearances.

That buried alive scene just reminded me.
You guys should definitely react to the Ryan Reynolds movie "Buried".
Probably the best acting he's EVER done, and extremely intense.

The actress who played Uma's daughter also plays Thomas Hayden Church's daughter in Spider-Man 3 and Michael Fassbender's daughter in Steve Jobs. She's made a good career of being awesome daughters. Haha. It would be cool to use her in Vol.3 but I think they'll go with Maya Hawke and Zendaya when they finally make it.

Sam, "The $64,000 Question" was a TV quiz show from the 50's. The reason for the "64" specificity is because the prize doubled on every question.

The main thing I love about Kill Bill is how much of an homage it is to so many genres of films. It has Anime, Hong Kong Kung Fu, Kurosawa's Samurai, Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns, and so many visual and musical references to specific characters and films. There is Bruce Lee's Yellow Jumpsuit, Pai Mei the White Lotus himself (which is an actual character from a classic Kung Fu film), the Shaw Brothers logo, Ennio Morricone's music, David Carradine (from Kung Fu). And even having Sonny Chiba and Gordon Liu, who are both legends in their own films, is a great way to add to the fan service. Even RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan had to get involved. I love all of that.

I started watching From Dusk Till Dawn last week. I realised how long it had been since I'd seen it, and how much I was about to enjoy it. So I turned it off. Now I'm waiting to watch along with a reaction here instead! Hopefully it's part of the Tarantino season at some point...

Yeah. I'm pretty sure I left the theatre thinking about, and talking about, almost nothing else.

Imagine seeing that buried alive scene in the theatre. That was extremely fucking unsettling.

Did you guys catch the music? There's some Ennio Morricone in there from The Dollar Trilogy. There's also some huge influence from The Dollar Trilogy, like the grave being dug up with some random tombstone.
Also! The actor playing the latin pimp in the end of Kill Bill 2 is also the same actor who played the sheriff in Kill Bill 1. Actor's name is Michael Parks.
Also, Also! Recommending Deathproof. Might be my second favorite Quentin movie after Pulp Fiction.
Nice Reaction as always!! At the subject at beeing buried alive..Tarantino directed a double episode of CSI the original..there is a much worse buried alive scene..i started to sweat just writing about it,,,Its so terrible..

I hope you guys will consider reacting to "Dusk Till Dawn" (1995) since it was written by QT and directed by his friend Robert Rodriguez.

I LOVE this movie! It's funny, what sticks with you after seeing a movie a zillion times. The guy who plays the strip club owner, in his scene with Bud, absolutely fucking killed it. That might be my favourite scene in both films.
Plus, perhaps a fun fact, the guy who played Esteban (the pimp who gives B directions to Bill) is the same guy who played the sheriff in Kill Bill 1 that found the not-dead-Bride at the church (while talking to "Son #1"). My god, he fucking DESTROYED his scene in this film! "Da pussy die..." Jesus, that was golden. (when you watch From Dusk Till Dawn, you might see him again!)
And finally, David Carradine as Bill... I simply can't imagine anyone else playing that role. It's like he was born to play it. That being said, Tarantino originally offered it to Warren Beatty... who turned him down. Thank god!
What a fantastic film.

My favorite of the two.
The flashback training alone, explaining how she gets out of the grave, makes it awesome.
