Brazil could also be in Comedy and Sci Fi polls, though it does have a tiny bit of DeNiro in it

bosho11

Midnight Run (1987) came in third. I'm impressed.

YoureMrLebowski

I've pleaded for Midnight Run to be reacted to countless times. Hope it happens soon. Also, I think it's more of a comedy with action bits than an action movie and feel it's not gonna get its due in action polls.

Angel Pagan

Midnight Run and King of Comedy are two of the best. Now, let's see some more Pacino!

Mike Tocci

Untouchables isn’t even a DeNiro film. Seriously?

James Whalen

+1. It sort of bums me out to see it faring so poorly in the poll(though it is facing some tough competition). It may be Leone's best film, which is saying something. A very tough film with a lot to digest. I was looking forward to hearing these two great reactors give their thoughts on it, but that seems unlikely...

Birdie Num Num

What’s wrong with voters. DeNiro is barely in Untouchables. King of Comedy!

Gino Padula

I picked all of these except BACKDRAFT. It’s an okay movie and DeNiro is hardly in it. I think CAPE FEAR and THE UNTOUCHABLES will give you a broad range of his acting skills. Also, the scene between him and Juliette Lewis on the stage in CAPE FEAR is so intense. You could hear a pin drop in the theater because nobody was breathing in anticipation. It was scary.

Robert Boyd

OUTIA is Sergio Leone, with another classic soundtrack by Ennio Morricone. Epic film in every way

ron clint

I'm going to go with "Cop Land" because it features DeNiro AND Stallone and it's such an underrated movie.

Jeff Mills

"The Untouchables". Colin Farrell's Penguin I jokingly call "Cap Pacino" because he's a combination of DeNiro's Capone from this movie and Pacino's Big Boy Caprice from "Dick Tracy".

Jeff Mills

I voted Backdraft because no one does Backdraft.

Timothy Burrows

Mr. of Time, I cannot recommend Awakenings enough! If for no other reason than the fact that it's actually true (broad strokes.) Oliver Sacks was a particularly profound scientist and writer... outside of the channel, I strongly recommend every single one of the books he ever wrote! Indeed, I would do so to anyone who is interested in practical neurology (which, presumably, is everyone!)

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

For a future DeNiro poll I highly recommend Roland Joffe's The Mission, great performances by him and Jeremy Irons, plus another classic Morricone score.

Patrick Clemens

It's got no shot at winning or even getting in the top 5, but please watch "Awakenings" even if it's not for the channel. IMO, it's some of Robert DeNiro's and Robin Williams best acting I've seen. I have no doubt you both will absolutely love watching it.

Robert Cintron

Steven Montano

Can't wait for Cop Land! Get ready for a very different Stallone.

Future Boy

I like “The Untouchables”, but it’s not even in the top five of the best films on this list…. I’ll just assume “Midnight Run” is not dominating this poll because not enough people have seen it. If you’ve haven’t seen it you should vote for it to see what you are missing.

BD Williams

He got JACKED for that role. Jesus, he's huge!

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Awakenings, Midnight Run, Cape Fear, and A Bronx Tale. Wow-zers, what a lineup that would be!! Some of my favourites!

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

I'm really hoping for Cape Fear. It's De Niro turned up to 11. I've watched so much horror over the year that horror films don't scare me. But De Niro in Cape Fear scares the crap out of me.

Future Boy

Copland is coming! Already on the schedule 😊 -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I was about to say the same thing. Its legit my favorite DeNiro movie and one of the greatest comedies but its not a film that will ever win a poll.. I really hope TBR and Sam consider watching it anyways

Ken Veader

I wish I could vote multiple times for Midnight Run. One of my favs.

Ryan Williams

Yea the movie has been a classic to my brothers and I since childhood. I saw one reactor who thought the music was way over the Top, a youngin lol. I was like, that's blasphemy! I love it I've never been to Chicago, I hope to someday. I'm considering adding the Chicago dog to my menu for my food truck here in Texas. I love some Chicago films like High Fidelity, Breakfast Club. Man of Steel was shot there.

Jonathan Patrick

that movie is special for those of us from Chi-town!! God, I practically know it by heart.

Chris Bruneau

Ha greatness. I heard his voice reading that. Pure classic. "Here endeth the lesson"

Jonathan Patrick

few years ago, we threw a "chi-town movie party" had bunch of people over. Watched Backdraft, untouchables, and ferris bueller. the trifecta of greatest Chicago movies. (didn't have time for blues brothers!!!) check out all four-- all great, all filmed in my hometown!

Chris Bruneau

Yesssssss!!

olly.enn

Yup. I think they will LOVE Copland.

Jonathan Patrick

Couldn't have said it better myself!! "he sends one of yours to the hospital; you send one of his to the morgue!--THATS the Chicago way" -- Malone

Chris Bruneau

Being from Chicago, I am REQUIRED to vote for "Untouchables" or else be beaten up by my neighbors!!! Its a classic film, which won Sean Connery an Oscar, and made Kevin Costner into a household name. One of DePalma's very best. The music, the dialogue, are all fantastic.

Chris Bruneau

Meet the Parents / Meet the Fockers

Rudy Hernandez

Awakenings is great but heartbreaking. Great performances from De Niro and Robin Williams, both playing against type. Hope you get to check it out someday!

Eric Lee

A Bronx tale is great

Richard

why not have Cop Land and do a two for one DeNiro / Stallone ?

Burt_Fuggin_Reynolds

All great choices. I'd suggest pulling Once Upon a Time and making that a capstone for your Leone journey. After The Good The Bad and The Ugly you could do Once Upon a Time in the West and finish up with Once Upon a Time in America.

Joseph Tamburo

Again, too many good choices! I feel like choosing one is short shrifting the others!

Smooticus

The Untouchables is a very good movie but it has VERY LITTLE De Niro in it. It looks like it's gonna win. How about you also watch the runner-up so you get enough De Niro in there? Cape Fear is one of his very best performances and it is 2nd right now. That would work.

Shehab Dawoud

What a list! I’m pulling for Backdraft even if it is an ensemble cast. I’d love for you guys to keep going on the DeNiro library like you are doing with Stallone and someday we’ll get through all the ones listed👍

Mark M

You HAVE to watch "Angel Heart", while technically De Niro only has a small part, it is an absolute masterpiece mystery/crime noir thriller and cult classic. Best Mickey Rourke role to-date, by far.

Alec S

My favorite DeNiro movie is Midnight Run. I don't know why, I just loved it growing up for some reason. I highly recommend it.

Matt and Lexi Reactions

Aw man that's another tough poll, I get why Untouchables is winning and I want to see them react to that too, great movie... but I love Bronx Tale too, and De Niro actually directed that as well, Brazil is great, aw so many great choices! Awakenings, love that movie, Robin Williams was great in that too.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Midnight Run should be way close to the top. Backdraft too. Btw, a great mobster comedy with Deniro..its really great lol "Analyze This" -------------------- "What are you prepared to do!" The Untouchables 😎

Jonathan Patrick

Had to go with Bronx Tale and Cape Fear. Although I hope Cape Fear wins. De Niro plays a great villain and that's not a spoiler, you know he's bad a minute after the opening credits. It's also a Scorsese film which is a huge bonus! I don't really consider The Untouchables a De Niro film, I don't remember him even being on screen all that much. I

Jeffrey Miller

Once Upon. A Time in America is a good one..the same Director Sergio Leone also created the speghetti westerns a few dollars more and the good the bad and the ugly with Clint Eastwood

Miggie88

As long as it doesn't contain coconut 😁

mikethemotormouth

The fan!

Rick Rodriguez (PicoMan Photography)

A De Niro Poll is a Great Idea !!! Maybe you can do also a Poll for Movies from Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino or Michael Douglas ;) They had all so many Great films

Florian Meier

Oh, I foresee Bronx Tale and Midnight Run both eclipsing Brazil as well. Brazil is a great film but not exactly a widely-known one, at least not compared to other movies on the poll. A 150-minute dystopian epic with a mostly British cast that was initially butchered by the studio! If polls are its only way to get on the channel then it's going to be awhile... In the meantime I'm showing my love over in the Discord.

Tyler Foster

Also loved De Niro in Men of Honor (2000)!

Marcus Laubner

I don't know almost anything about these films, but from the past Patreon suggestions, I definitely thought Brazil and Midnight Run were going to be top 2 LOL -Sam

TBR Schmitt

You can vote for as many as you'd like now ;) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Oh. You guys haven't done THE UNTOUCHABLES? I should've voted for that.

Philip Davetas

I wish Brazil stood a better chance but there's no way it's going to beat Untouchables or Cape Fear. Untouchables is great, of course, and Cape Fear is very good, but Brazil is an all-timer.

Tyler Foster

Very funny sir would you like a cookie for that 😁

dieselbeast

Although I love Midnight Run and Backdraft (both great films and should be watched), I had to go with Director Brian DePalma and composer Ennio Morricone with The Untouchables. Classic. The Untouchables did so well the movie studio told De Palma his next film could anything he wanted, and he chose the true story war film I always bring up, "Casualties of War". It'd be nice to get to some De Palma films. Sean Connery? Costner? DeNiro? Ennio Morricone? De Palma? Hell yes! "What are you prepared to do!" The Untouchables

Jonathan Patrick

LOL -Sam

TBR Schmitt

LOVED Joker! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We have seen them all :( -Sam

TBR Schmitt

You misspelled Awakenings

mikethemotormouth

Speaking of De Niro you guys should consider the Meet The Parents trilogy if you haven’t seen those films already.

Tristan Durant

a Bronx tale should win

dieselbeast

King of Comedy is an interesting watch especially if you've seen JOKER.
