2022-03-19 21:51:41 +0000 UTCWow, the actor who plays the Monsignor is FANTASTIC in this. I don't think I've seen him in anything else other than The Big Short (2015), which he is also fantastic in (but a much smaller part.) If you guys haven't seen that one yet, I'd give it a big recommendation!

2022-01-31 15:10:43 +0000 UTCSo far I'm enjoying this as a horror show. I mean, just the idea of living in that island, 127 people all up in each others business is pretty scary to begin with. It's like heaven for nosy busybodies like that lady Bev and the mayor. When he was complaining about how "if someone stays isolated it hurts the whole island" I was reminded of every neighbor I ever had who sat on their porch and payed attention to everyone's business but their own. My only complaint, it is a small one, is the ugly green filter that seems to be over every shot, washing out all the colors. I guess that's thematic or whatever but it's overused in horror these days. The music is amazing. I actually heard Tom Chapin's song "Saturday Morning" and that made me like this show 1000% more!!!

2022-01-29 07:42:13 +0000 UTCWell, we see the Father bringing the chest inside from the mainland and then we see him unlocking the chest and knocking on it to get a knock back.Because of that, he seems super aware of what’s inside and then they showed him reading the Bible at night next to the open box. It just seems like he’s very aware of what’s happening since the box is sitting in the middle of the room, but still not 100% sure if he actually has control over this being or if he’s just sort of housing it in that box, but regardless I think we’ve put together that he’s very aware of what’s happening with it! -Sam

2022-01-29 02:00:13 +0000 UTCWith what we've seen, seems a weird tangent to go off on, saying Father Paul is releasing the creature at night and returning it to the box, or that he has any control over it - they haven't shown any of those things or even hinted at them. All we saw was him bringing in the chest, and knocking on it and something inside knocking back, and then an empty chest.
