Help pick the Drama movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

Very excited for the movie that won the poll. One of my all time favorites, hope you guys enjoy.

justDRK

Also jumping up and down.

Neal Romanek

All great movie suggestions.

Neal Romanek

Yes, The Elephant Man, great choice! Absolutely!

Toc

PS: Two more dramas: A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. See Marlon Brando's breakthrough performance, changed the course of acting. The very definition of a great drama! And THE MISFITS, Marilyn Monroe's last movie (and Clark Gable's). It's a really powerful drama, made even more powerful when you know it's their last movie, and neither would live to make another one. Almost eerie. Marilyn is incredible in this movie, as is the entire cast.

Tic Toc Melody

I'll second some of the suggestions I've seen already: THERE WILL BE BLOOD. Oh my god yes. Also, BOOGIE NIGHTS (same director). I saw FARGO mentioned. Absolutely. DOG DAY AFTERNOON (1975), oh my god. Pacino at his absolute best. DONNIE BRASCO also. CHINATOWN (1974) with Jack Nicholson is incredible, although if One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest isn't winning this poll, what chance has "Chinatown"? lol! CARNAL KNOWLEDGE (1971) is another super fantastic Jack Nicholson movie that, quite frankly, and a movie that not just any certain reactors would be able to do a good job with, you guys being two of them. MIDNIGHT COWBOY (1969-Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight), THE GRADUATE (1967 - Dustin Hoffman's first movie), BONNIE AND CLYDE (1967 - Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Gene Hackman), BLOW UP (1966).....these are all major, groundbreaking movies of the 60s that are among the first "modern" feeling films, and have really held up. And I haven't even ventured into old golden age movies, so I'll just leave it at this one: CITIZEN KANE (1941), the big Daddy of 'em all, endlessly fascinating, still amazing, still entertaining. Ok, I just unloaded a ton of titles. I LOVE YOU GUYS AND I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! :D

Tic Toc Melody

Oh my gosh, yes! Woo-hoo! Jumping up and down! :D I'm shadow boxing in preparation! :D

Tic Toc Melody

I hope you guys put "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" on a future poll!

David Crabtree

Woo!

Mr. Writhms

Raging Bull is coming in November! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Great list! The Joker is one of my favorite films too! I've seen The Pianist and Schindler's List. I know for sure that TBR Schmitt hasn't seen the Pianist, but I'm not sure about the rest of the list. -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Great film and Nicholson is great in it.

Michael Soukup

Ah man. I completely forgot about Schindler’s List.

PIG

The Game!!!

PIG

"Raging Bull" (1980) Deniro, Pesci,... Scorsese.

Mr. Writhms

Joker (2019) The Road (2009) Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri (2017) Fargo (1996) The Pianist (2002) Schindler's List (1993) Doubt you haven't watched Joker but being my favorite film ever I had to throw it in there. 😜

Domino

You'd love it. Would also be a great introduction to the work of River Phoenix (Joaquin's older brother) who was taken from us way too early at just 23.

Shehab Dawoud

Ooh! Loving the King adaptations for sure! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendations! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendations! We have both seen Casablanca, so we wouldn't be able to do a reaction for it but I haven't see any of the rest of these! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

You know we love exploring directors! We'll have to check it out! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Awesome! Thank you for the recommendation! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Oh wow! Can't wait to see it! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I'm definitely excited for more Nicholson! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

It's close! We hope to get to them all! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendations! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for letting us know! I think there's only been one other film we've had to purchase so far, so we've got pretty lucky! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

The poll is pretty close! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Ooh yes! Elephant Man has been highly requested! I'll put it on the next poll. Raging Bull is on the schedule for November :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I can't wait to watch it! I've loved all of the DeNiro films so far! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Stand By Me next time. As close to a flawless film as you can get and Stephen King’s favorite adaption of one of his books

Shehab Dawoud

It's my favorite movie. Daniel Day-Lewis's performance is unmatchable. It's the best acting I have ever seen in anything. You begin to forget you're watching an actor, you really feel like Plainview is a real man.

PIG

There Will Be Blood is one of the best movies of the past decade.

Neal Romanek

Casablanca is a non-negotiable must watch. And Frequency is a terrific, kind of forgotten gem.

Neal Romanek

I love Hubert Selby Jr - but, boy, if you thought The Mist was dark...

Neal Romanek

Oh, yeah. Amadeus is actually one of The Best Movies.

Neal Romanek

Agreed!

PIG

There Will Be Blood (2007) No Country for Old Men (2007) … and you already have LA Confidential so [thumbs up!] [EDIT] Oh! The Hunt (2012). The title is extremely generic in any language. Make sure it's the Danish film "Jagten", starring Mads Mikkelsen.

PIG

"Casablanca" (1942), "Key Largo" (1948), "The Big Sleep" (1946) all three starring Humphrey Bogart "The Untouchables" (1987) starring Kevin Costner and Sean Connery "The Patriot" (2000) starring Mel Gibson "To Catch A Thief" (1955) starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly "Contact" (1997) starring Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey "Dead Poets Society" (1989) starring Robert Sean Leonard and Ethan Hawke "Frequency" (2000) starring Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel "The Illusionist" (2006) starring Edward Norton and Jessica Biel to name a few

Miles E Coburn

I would recommend "Amadeus" from 1984. Same director as "One Flew over the cuckoo's nest" and overall a perfect movie imo

Garmonbozia93

Requiem for a dream (2001) is a suggestion for the list. Stars Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly.

Lee

Hey guys, love the channel Finchers Seven or The game.

Ancestor of Freedom

Fingers crossed for LA Confidential. Good heavens that's a great film!

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest, if only because it would bring you closer to doing Amadeus, also by the same director.

bosho11

LA Confidential should have won best picture instead of Titanic

Smooticus

Agreed

Smooticus

Yarrr!

_Crimson_Fkr_

Unfortunately, in the US you can’t stream A Few Good Men without purchasing it. I hate it when they do that.

Catherine LW

LA Confidential is honestly the movie I've been waiting for you to watch

Jason Dolan

Elephant Man by Lynch would be a great choice for Drama in the future. Along with Scorsese’s Raging Bull. Really hope Taxi Driver wins this one

Arya Amirsoleimani

I'm gonna go with Irishman since I loved it and because i haven't seen anyone react to it yet.
