Help pick the Comedy movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen Tropic Thunder, Galaxy Quest, & Office Space, so this would only be Sam's first time reaction.

*We received a ton suggestions on the last polls, but we are trying to keep the poll sizes more reasonable. We have noted all suggestions for future polls!

Being in the punk/DIY scene I was aware of her because of Suburbia & the Decline series, and then was surprised to see she was responsible for some of the more mainstream comedies from my childhood, Γ  la Wayne’s World. I’ll have to check that film out tho, I hadn’t heard of it until now. So, thanks πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š

Damiana_Dimock

Suburbia was great. I had never seen it until I bought the Shout Factory disc from their Roger Corman Cult Classics Collection a few years back. I bought it trying to complete that collection and because I was aware of Spheeris being a quality director. I was surprised at just how good it was. Another of her films that would be worth a watch is The Boys Next Door with Charlie Sheen. That was another blind buy disc I bought (this one from Severin Films) that I was really happy with. Lots of great special features on these discs too.

Mike Tocci

And Parenthood. So many good ones.

Neal Romanek

And Bowfinger! I completely forgot about Bowfinger.

Neal Romanek

Two classics. I always just assume that everyone must have already seen them.

Neal Romanek

I've got to vote for my gurl Penelope Spheeris' film. If you ever do a poll for documentaries, I'll be the first to vote for all three of the Decline Of Western Civilization films! Or even Suburbia in a Drama poll.

Damiana_Dimock

Oh Office Space, definitely. Soooo many great lines! Galaxy Quest is fun, but it only makes me want to watch the nonexistent Rated R version. LOL

Nick of Time

Steve Martin was great in all of those movies. I'd love to see videos on any or all of them.

Mike Tocci

I'm still pushing for the Steve Martin classics: The Jerk, The Man With Two Brains, Roxanne, LA Story

Neal Romanek

After just hearing Sam say that all these dark films are starting to take their toll, I'll be trying to think of more comedies to suggest. At the moment, all I can think of is: Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). It's so much fun!

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

I love both Galaxy Quest and Office Space. :-)

Arki Kali

Tropic Thunder :)

Greg & Lilian

Office Space baby. It get no better. Oh wait, "Tropic Thunder" is on this list. DAMN. Can I choose 2 movies to vote on. Such a good list.

KevG

Risky Business is more of a coming of age film than a comedy, but it’s still really good, Tom Cruise’s breakout film. Another 100% comedy that you definitely need to check out is Liar Liar. Jim Carrey’s finest.

Shehab Dawoud

I’m a fan of the current leaders but the question might be asked of TBR: since both of you haven’t seen much of Star Trek, how much did he enjoy the movie? It pokes fun of the franchise as well as its fan base. Tropic Thunder will definitely yield the bigger payoff given the war movies you’ve seen. Their both great you’ll have some fun either way.

ADPTBL

Other comedies for future consideration: Fletch (1985), Caddyshack (1980), The Jerk (1979), Annie Hall (1977) [I know Woody Allen has become a controversial figure in recent years, but this is simply one of the best comedies ever made.], Stir Crazy (1980), Raising Arizona (1987), and This Is Spinal Tap (1984).

Mitchell Smilie

TROPIC THUNDER is custom made for TBR and Sam. A comedy war movie? Come on! 😁

Mr. Writhms

Galaxy Quest should win all the polls, all the time. You're gonna love it.

Jen Barnes

Galaxy Quest is one of my favorite movies ever, but I think it helps to have an understanding or appreciation of Star Trek for maximum effect. Not that it still isn't amazing; it's The Three Amigos, but in space.

Peter A. Leggieri

Some recent comedies I really liked were Spy (2015) and The Heat (2013).

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Seen galaxy quest like 30 times 😍 great poll tbh I'm happy with whatever wins this one πŸ₯°

Ian

This Is Spinal Tap and When Harry Met Sally are two hilarious comedies I think you’d love reacting to. Can you add these to future comedy polls?

Jeff

Oh man! Can't wait to see what that means! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yay! I'm glad you like them all though! Sign of a good poll :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I've added to the list for next action poll! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

So many good movies here, but had to go with office space, since I've lived it.

Chris

I like almost every film on this poll, but I'm going with Office Space, from Mike Judge: creator of Beavis & Butthead and King of The Hill. For real, it is actually a laugh out loud funny movie.

Mike Tocci

You should react to the 1993 action/thriller "Falling Down". It's a great movie that is even more relevant today.
