American Gladiators update

OVW stars J-Rod and Jessie Godderz were set, as well as former wrestler Eric Bugenhagen. In addition, long absent AEW stars Wardlow and Kamille were revealed. This raised eyebrows because longtime WWE star Miz will be hosting. There had been reports that one side had raised issues with the mix of talent, but we’ve not heard that.
We exhausted sources within WWE, who said that they hadn’t heard of any issues, and expected to to be a professional situation that doesn’t affect anyone negatively. We’re told that some of the talent was actually caught off guard when Miz was announced as the host, simply because they didn’t know, and were worried that AEW would take issue with it. From what we were told, AEW had no issues with it as the show airs on Prime, and the WWE integration was just a case of them acquiring a relevant host.

To me the most natural fits for this show would have been either Steve Austin or Bryan Danielson.

2025-06-18 09:43:06 +0000 UTCI'm just wondering why with the bottomless pool of money Amazon has they decided to go with the Miz of all people for this show. Put aside Dwayne for a moment and there's a lot of people who are more high profile than the Miz.
