AroLucha email on dissolution

You all may remember the AroLucha company that we covered and even sarcastically invested in years ago.

Last week, Fightful, as investors, got an official notice of dissolution. Within a year of "investing," Fightful was getting requests to also invest in CBD products. The company then tried to "rebrand" to a cartoon.

In 2024, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp made an inquiry regarding purchasing the library of AroLucha, but didn't get a response.

A number of years ago, Sapp reached out to a top performer from AroLucha about the company, and got a simple reply of "LOL what happened to everyone's money?"

AroLucha ran four events between December 2017 and June 2018. The roster featured Swerve Strickland, Austin Theory, Darby Allin, Taya, Rey Fenix, Low Ki, Hurricane Helms, Carlito, Trey Miguel, Thunder Rosa, Ricky Starks, Juventud Guerrera, James Storm, Laredo Kid, Willie Mack, Myron Reed, Kylie Rae, and DENISE SALCEDO!!!

There were actual contracts signed by some of the talent, who were let out of them to do other things.

Here is the email in full:

Dear Shareholders,

I hope this message finds you well.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the decision to dissolve Aro Lucha, Inc. This conclusion follows extensive deliberation and stems from significant challenges we've faced, notably the unforeseen departure of Rey Mysterio early in our evolution and the recent acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide by WWE . These events have profoundly impacted our operations and market position.

Aro Lucha was established with the vision of bringing high-energy, family-friendly lucha libre to audiences across the United States. We took pride in being the world's first fan-owned lucha libre sports and entertainment company . Our journey included live events, media content, and partnerships aimed at expanding the reach of this vibrant wrestling style.

Despite our team's dedication and your unwavering support, the evolving landscape of professional wrestling has presented insurmountable obstacles. The consolidation of major promotions and shifting market dynamics have made it increasingly challenging for independent entities like ours to thrive.

We are committed to ensuring a transparent and orderly dissolution process, adhering to all legal obligations and keeping you informed every step of the way.

Thank you for your belief in our mission and for being an integral part of the Aro Lucha family.

One the major questions we know you will all have is what happens to your investment.

Again, this is not the outcome we desired; we thank you for the support and the opportunity to make an impact in the world of Lucha Libre. We will continue to update you on the dissolution process as we progress. Warm regards,

The Arolucha Team
