Is there any particular reason why Funaki isn't listed as an alum on WWEs website? Especially since he is still signed with the company.
For some reason, numerous people have asked me this. He's an employee, as opposed to being "signed." I was told there was no specific reason.
With Megan Bayne having worked a couple GCW shows recently does that mean that the AEW and GCW beef has been repaired?
I would imagine it has more to do with Bayne's proximity to Joey Janela than a beef being repaired. As of the time the Ricky Starks/Effy/Tony Khan situation unfolded, being in the middle of it and reporting it, I think that if everyone had better communication, it could have got worked out. Tony Khan felt disrespected by Effy, and didn't feel like a person with that influence in GCW should be bringing up his family while GCW used plenty of AEW talnet, and Brett Lauderdale was just disappointed the whole situation happened.
Lauderdale is in a spot where he is the primary booker for most of these talent, but they're not under contract, so there's not really that much you can do when one wants to speak out or do a podcast. As of that situation, Brett Lauderdale and Tony Khan had never spoken. I'm not sure if that has changed. Lauderdale did tell me of a situation that Tony Khan personally helped take care of regarding a talent that had never been under contract to Khan, but they didn't coordinate that together.
When Trevor Lee was fired by WWE, he claimed “So I was told by a high executive last week on Friday that I would always have a job here. I would never have to worry about losing my job here”. Has this actually been confirmed by anybody? Doesn’t sound believable.
His story was a one-on-one experience that he publicly recounted. Nobody has ever came forth to say that they witnessed it, but also nobody has ever came forth to say they've doubted it. As best I know the executive wasn't named. I can try to find out, but it's hard to "confirm" anything like this unless the executive admits it.
