More bans within TNA

More changes are on the way to TNA TV.

Recently, TNA requested that their talent scale back on the utilization of blood in matches, after the company felt like talent had went a bit overboard. In our interview shortly after with Steve Maclin, he stated that he believed the company was doing it so it would mean more whenever they brought it back.

Now, Fightful Select has heard of other changes. We got word that the talent relations department passed down a memo that stated that slaps will no longer be allowed unless approved by an agent. In addition, it was noted that throat slashing wasn't allowed at all, and would come with a $100 fine each time its done.

We were told that a meeting was held Saturday to discuss the moves, and to express unhappiness that the memos leaked, of which said meeting's details also leaked. There were other talent meeting related happenings there.

If it helps them get a new TV deal on a different network that more than 5 people receive, it's for the best I guess. Funny how one dog collar match seemingly got them a call from WWE (yes, that's speculation). Now everyone is going to be looking for THAT match, which also works out well for TNA.

I really don't see the big deal. Is a match ruined because they have to run a slap spot past someone? Does a throat slash mean so much to you? If this didnt leak, no one would even realize it.
