I'm dog-sitting right now, and they seem to require CONSTANT attention, and they'll explode with barking at anytihng which walks by the house, which is every fifteen minutes. I can't work like this, I can barely live like this. I'm a cat person. Dogs are too much.

one of those toys that is full of peanut butter might help. If you are dog sitting for a long time just giving them a treat every time anyone passes might also help.
