Another Maple Leaf Pro-TNA Connection

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling was revived by former TNA President Scott D’Amore, so clear TNA inspirations were to be felt. It was also revealed that Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling was using Keith Mitchell and Kevin Sullivan in production, who had a long history in TNA. In addition, former WWE and AEW name Timothy Walbert joined.
More on the TNA connections – we’re told that Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling used some of the same rental companies as TNA for lighting and equipment, which led to a very similar look.
D’Amore spoke with Fightful before the Forged in Excellence show and confirmed that he originally had a non-compete until January. However, in order to put on Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, an agreement was reached in order to make it expire early.

This tracks. Hope they progress the show, the most recent one felt way too unfocused compared to the first. The loss of Konosuke Takeshita, Speedball Mike Bailey, & Josh Alexander (wrestling, I know he showed up) made it a far weaker card.
