Details On Will Ospreay's Surprise Battle Royal Appearance, Pro Wrestling EVE Multiverse Rumble
Added 2025-02-13 01:04:36 +0000 UTCPro Wrestling EVE: Multiverse Rumble Notes
Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has learned the following details from Pro Wrestling EVE’s Multiverse Rumble event.
- The attendance for the event came in at 518 people, making it the 3rd highest attended all women’s wrestling event in Europe, coming in behind EVE WrestleQueendom 1 and 2. Combined with WrestleQueendom last month, Multiverse Rumble marked the highest back to back attended shows in their history.
- We are told by EVE sources that the Will Ospreay - Anita Vaughan spot was a last minute addition after some last minute pull-outs from the match. We are told the spot was viewed as a fun non-canon moment for the fans, and only that.
- The Multiverse Rumble was put together by Rayne Leverkusen and signed off by Dann Read.
- Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor were both originally scheduled for the Multiverse Rumble until they were moved into the main event spot in favor of the Rumble.
- Will Ospreay acted as a producer for several matches, as well as director for the broadcast.
- Neither Dann Read nor Amira were originally scheduled for commentary but the scheduled commentators were unable to make it due to travel issues.
- There were some audio issues at the start of the show that were promptly fixed, but a new version was uploaded after the show without said issues.
- Jamie Hayter made her entrance to her original EVE theme music of "Heads Will Roll".
- Hayter cut a promo after the show stating that EVE was the first place to give Jamie Hayter a chance, and her only ever regular booking when on the indies, she says EVE is her home and she will be back in the future.
- Multiple matches were also announced for the promotion’s upcoming Women Behaving Badly event, including Miyu Yamashita vs Session Moth Martina and a double fall EVE title match including Nina Samuels, Alex Windsor and Skye Smitson. We are told the event is close to a sellout.
Further Details On AEW Star Working Backstage In Popular Indie
Will Ospreay finds more work outside of All Elite Wrestling.
On February 7th, Will Ospreay appeared during the Pro Wrestling Eve Multiverse Rumble, hitting a pedigree on Anita ‘Triple H’ Vaughan before being eliminated from the match by ‘Rayne-O-Mac’, Rayne Leverkusen. This is not the first time Ospreay has appeared in EVE, as he previously received a beatdown at the hands of some of the roster at an event last year.
In an interview with Fightful earlier this week, Pro Wrestling EVE’s owner Dann Read spoke about having Will backstage at events, with nothing but praise for Ospreay. Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has now learned that Ospreay has been working with EVE for quite some time.
Pro Wrestling EVE sources tell Brennan that Ospreay has been working as a producer in the promotion since April of 2024, and has been a member of the promotion's creative team since October of 2024. Ospreay has also helped produce in other promotions, having a hand in putting together The Cut Throat Collective vs Team RevPro match at the promotions anniversary event during last year’s All In weekend, and previously having done similar work with a prominent US based indie.
Ospreay’s partner Alex Windsor is a regular name on Pro Wrestling EVE shows and faced off with Jamie Hayter in the main event of Friday’s Multiverse Rumble event.
